Best Paying Careers
When students start planning for their futures, they often think about what the best paying careers will be for them. Most of the time it depends on higher education. Here are some of the top paying jobs for the future, and the educational requirements.
Business Careers
People in business know that it is not cranking out products or rendering services that makes money--sales makes money. Marketing departments are expected to have some very high salaries in the future. Market research analysis, for example, has a projected median salary of around $135,000.
Getting into a business career is not as difficult as it may seem. If you are put off by the thought of attending classes in traditional educational settings, you do not have to worry--there are plenty of online business degree programs, including graduate and post graduate courses.
Medicine and Health Care
Although many people think physicians and surgeons are the ones in health care who make all the money, nothing could be further from the truth. Pharmacists, for instance, currently enjoy a median expected salary of nearly $99,000 in the United States. There are also great jobs for pharmacists outside the pharmacy itself--drug research, technical writing, and positions in nuclear medicine are all excellent choices for pharmacy grads.
Not interested in pharmacy? No problem. Physicians assistants, psychologists, and medical support staff are all projected to be among the best paying careers for the future. While many of these careers require lab courses and residencies on campus, many classes can be taken entirely on the internet. If you have a program you are interested in, talk to your advisor to see how many courses can be taken online.
Computer Careers
Jobs in computer science now encompass everything from software engineer to forensics and are included in the best paying careers. There are exciting career options in crime scene investigations and computer security, but the best paying jobs will be as IT analysts, programmers, and engineers.
Like many other fields, a lot of your coursework can be taken online. Many people who work days but have families and cannot attend courses at night benefit from attaining their degrees online.
Remember, though, that the best paying career for you may also be the one in which you are happiest. Staying with your career choice will be easy then, and your performance will be at its best when you are satisfied with your job.
